Smoke alarm alerts homeowner (Savannah Morning News)

Rincon firefighters responded quickly Wednesday afternoon to a call for help after a refrigerator compressor in a Jennifer Drive home began to smoke. The homeowner’s smoke alarm alerted the resident to the problem, said Rincon firefighter Pete Smith. No damage was reported.

I have an almost new 10 Gallon oiled air compressor for sale. I bought it about a year ago and have since upgraded to a 220V unit. It works great with nail guns, etc. It has a gauge for tank pressure, as well as compressor pressure and has dual quick connect air outlets.

A section of Lockport-Olcott Road was shut down briefly Wednesday as Hazmat crews responded to an ammonia leak at Russell Fruit Farms cold storage. The leak was caused by a broken head gasket in a refrigerator compressor inside the cold storage building, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department.
